chrysler film festival
Doug Liman and Dave Bartis of Hypnotic Films called me asking for a concept for 6-8 short interstitial films that could run in Cannes during the student film screening of the Chrysler-Hypnotic Million Dollar Film Festival finalists. Oh, and it would be nice if some Chrysler cars could be in them somewhere.
That's it. That was the brief.
The result is "Indie is Great," an ode to the joys of low-budget film production. I conceived it on Sunday, had it approved on Monday, then we cast, shot and had the films in the can by Friday.
[Apologies for the terrible film quality. Though it does seem to give it an air of authenticity...]
